Dr. Ursula Froschauer – Online Counselling Psychologist: Couples Therapy, General Psychotherapy, Intuitive Eating Counselling

At some point, we all face challenges that leave us feeling stuck. Therapy is the journey through these difficulties; a process that helps us regain clarity, find deeper meaning and purpose and ultimately, cultivate a sense of inner peace.
As we move through life’s complexities, we often encounter uncomfortable emotions in response to uncomfortable situations. In therapy, we do not push these feelings away. Instead, we create space for them; welcoming them, understanding them, and when we are ready, accepting them. Through this process, we begin to develop compassion, not only for our emotions, but for ourselves and those around us. Acceptance of others, of course, does not mean accepting unacceptable behaviour. I firmly believe that no matter what life brings, we always have a choice in how we respond.
Therapy offers a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and work through distressing or unresolved issues from your past, present, and future. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, autoimmune conditions, body image and relationship with food concerns, psychosomatic symptoms, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and those seeking to live with greater mindfulness and self-awareness.
My approach is rooted primarily in psychodynamic therapy, which focuses on how early life experiences influence current behaviour and relational patterns. This often lends itself to longer-term therapeutic work, aimed at meaningful and lasting change.
I particularly appreciate working with couples and in this work I draw from the Gottman Method Couples Therapy framework. My goal is to equip couples with practical tools to communicate effectively, manage conflict constructively, and make more intentional and conscious relationship choices. Couples therapy provides a supportive space to enhance emotional connection and relationship satisfaction.
In addition to psychotherapy, I offer clinical supervision to fellow psychologists. My supervision work is informed by psychodynamic, person-centred, and mindfulness-based approaches. I aim to meet supervisees where they are, supporting them in growing into the most authentic and effective therapists they can be.
